OPTIC Analysis of a Famous Art Piece...Rembrandt's "The Anatomy Lesson"Overview- The picture shows a doctor giving an anatomy lesson to his students about the veins and arteries inside the arm of a cadaver(dead person)
Parts- low lighting; very dark; Mainly use of black, white and a skin tone color. The doctor is showing the inside of the arm to his 7 students Title- The title tells one, noncoincidentally, that this is an anatomy lesson. Interrelationships- One of the relationships in the painting could exist between the color dark as a symbolism for a the death and the dead body in the room. Conclusions- The argument the artist is trying to make is that the study of anatomy can be fascinating and should be practiced more and more often to educate. |
